More New Items in Stock

If you've been looking forward to seeing some brand new 2013 items on the shelves, check out your local Target.  I decided to go back to pick up two of the items that I had written about in my last post, What's New at Target, and while there, I found even more new items in stock than just a few days ago.

Hearts 4 Hearts Girls

I was so excited to finally see the new Hearts 4 Hearts Girls in person, right there at Target.  Mosi and Shola have made it to stores finally!!!  They are both really cute and just $24.99 each.  Mosi is a Native American girl with long dark hair and  brown eyes.  I like her boots, but I don't care for the plastic feather in her hair.  The real feather shown on the H4H website is so much prettier, but I guess they thought it might break too easily.  Mosi's boots on the website are cuter than the actual boots too.  Shola represents a girl from Afghanistan, and she has really beautiful eyes.  I decided to hold out however for Lauryce.  She is the next H4H doll that I want to bring home.  Target didn't have her, but from what I've read online, she should be back in stores soon, and I can't wait to find her!

Our Generation

The OG Bicycle was in stock and looking very cute!!!  It's made of pink metal with a basket on the front.  It looks so realistic!!!  I think it would work well as a modern bicycle or an old fashioned style bike.  It's a good cross between the two styles.  This looks like a real child's bike, just scaled down to 18" doll size.  This is not a big version of your plastic Barbie bike.  There were two of them on the shelf at 49.99 each.

One of the items that I had decided to go back to buy was the OG Owl Lunch box accessory set.  Unfortunately, they were all gone.  Just a few days earlier, there were 4 Lunch boxes, 4 purse sets, and 4 backpack sets.  When I went back, there was only one backpack and one purse left.   These are hot sellers, almost all sold out in just 3 days.

10 out of 12 sets sold in 3 days

Monster High

More Monster High items were in stock including the Dance Class 5 pack.

This 5 pack includes they very hard to find boy doll, Gill Weber and another new doll to the Dance Class line, Rochelle Goyle.  Here's a closeup...

13 Wishes dolls and sets in stock were:

Abbey
Twyla
Howleen

Spectra's Party Lounge
Cleo's Desert Frights Oasis

Music Festival dolls in stock were:

Abbey
Clawdeen
Venus

The Mad Science Lab Partners 2 pack was in stock:

Lab Partners - Ghoulia and Cleo

From the Create-A-Monster Line, new items in stock were:

Color Me Creepy Design Chamber

Werewolf
Sea Monster

There was a new locker for 29.99.  There was also a sign about a new doll that will be available on Sept. 13.

A lot of MH dolls are on sale this week, and there's a special offer for a free girl's t-shirt when you buy 2 selected $13.99 or higher Monster High toys.  T-shirt offer and sale prices good through this Saturday, Aug. 17th.

Barbie

On the Barbie aisle, Batman and Catwoman caught my eye.  The comic book style artwork on their boxes is  just adorable.  They were priced at $34.95 each.

Batman was especially cute, and the Ken doll underneath the Batman mask looks pretty cute and unique too.

Clearance

I also found some great clearance bargains while I was checking out all the new stuff.
I got this cute Belle Squinkies set for just $1.48.  These make great toys for 18" American Girls and for the American Girl Mini Dolls too.

I also got this Jasmine Squinkies set for just $0.76.

I got this precious little LaDeeDa outfit on clearance for $2.38.  It is an adorable picnic style dress.  Check out the little ants on the bottom of the skirt.  Too cute.

Coming Soon...

My next post will be a review with lots of pictures of a brand new item that I just got.  Can anyone guess what I got?  (Hint: it's from my previous What's New at Target post).

What's New at Target

I stopped by Target today, and was pleasantly surprised to find that there are lots of new items that were not there just a few days ago.  It is so exciting when new items hit the shelves!  They have rearranged the toy department completely to make room for all the new stock.

In the Our Generation 18" Dolls and Accessories aisle, they have a new Horse Stable.  It is very nicely made of wood with a pretty scalloped roof.  It is a big purchase though with a hefty price tag of $79.99.  Here are some pictures, in case you haven't seen it yet.

Love the scalloped roof
Made of wood with metal hinges
Wooden OG logo on the scalloped roof
Love the metal door handles
Lots of accessories included

Another big ticket OG Accessory is the new OG Kitchen.  The price for this is $61.99.  This is very similar to the silver plastic one they had before, but now it's a red kitchen.  We have the older white wooden OG Kitchen.  I love all the accessories that come with the new red kitchen.

Very pretty tile backsplash

Also new in the OG line are three new accessory sets.  These sets are $6.99 each.  In the picture below, on top is a yellow and pink polka dot backpack set.   On the bottom left is a purple woven purse with a gold handle and gold flowers.   On the bottom right is the most adorable owl lunch bag and thermos.  I may have to go back for the lunch bag - love it!  Each set comes with some other accessories too.

The next aisle had a whole new line of fashion dog dolls called Pinkie Cooper.  These are dolls with human bodies and dog heads.  Their ears can be removed for mix and match hairstyles.  There were three "Runway" basic dolls for $14.99 each including Pinkie Cooper, Ginger Jones, and Pepper Parson.  Pinkie Cooper is the main character (since Pinkie Cooper was the brand name on every box), but I'm really drawn to Pepper Parson's coloring!  I really didn't expect to like a doll that was half human and half dog, but I love their eyes.  Those big eyes remind me of Pullip dolls!   My daughter likes that their ears come off to mix and match much like the Cutie Pops doll's hair.   These are the basic Runway Dolls ($14.99 each)...

Pinkie Cooper
Ginger Jones
Pepper Parson
Target also had the Pinkie Cooper "Travel" Line.  There were 3 dolls in this line, and each doll comes with her pet dog.  All 3 versions of this line are Pinkie (no best friends Ginger or Pepper in the travel line).  There is "Pinkie in Beverly Hills", "Pinkie in Paris", and "Pinkie in London".  These sets are 19.99 each.

I found a really great, very detailed review of Pinkie Cooper at The Toy Box Philosopher.   Click on the link to check out her awesome review.

I mentioned Cutie Pops dolls earlier, and I wanted to add that the Target here recently put all the Cutie Pops on clearance and sold them all out.  As of today, Target had no new Cutie Pops dolls.  They are completely gone from the shelves.  I wonder if Target will be carrying Cutie Pops anymore???

Something else new at Target were the Disney Princess and Me dolls.  These 18" dolls are $39.99 at Target.  I've only seen them in the past at Toys R Us.  Target had Ariel, Merida, and Cinderella in stock.  There was also a tag on the shelf for Belle and Rapunzel, but those were not in stock yet.

On the My Little Pony aisle, I got my first look at the Equestria Girls by Hasbro.  They were priced $12.99 for the basic dolls and $19.99 for the deluxe versions.  These are kind of like Pinkie Cooper, except they are part pony - part human.  I read a great in depth review about Equestria Girls at Confessions of a Doll Collector's Daughter.  Click on the link to read her awesome review.  I also read on Beastsbelle's blog that she is planning to review two of the Equestria Girls dolls this week, so be sure to read her review too at Never Grow Up.

Equestria Girls Rainbow Dash

There is an adorable new LaDeeDa doll called Pop Art Dee for 19.99.  She is dressed in a really cute pop art comic book fashion.  My girls have several LaDeeDa dolls, and I love their big eyes.  Pop Art Dee is really cute.

The Monster High section had been completely moved to the aisle directly across from the Barbie dolls.  A few of the 13 Wishes dolls were finally in stock at Target.  They had 13 Wishes Twyla, Howleen, and Lagoona.  Still no Gigi Grant though.  They also had 3 new MH plushie pets.  Frankie's dog - Watzit, Draculaura's bat - Count Fabulous, and Clawdeen's cat - Crescent were all 9.99 each.

There were two new Mini Lalaloopsy's from The Wizard of Oz.  "Dotty Gale Winds" as Dorothy and "Tinny Ticker" as Tinman.  These two adorable minis were $6.99 each.

Wizard of Oz Mini Lalaloopsy's

Finally, this big Lalaloopsy is not new, but I had to take a picture of her anyway.  We only have Mini Lalaloopsy's so far, but if I ever get a full size Lalaloopsy, it would probably be this one.  I love fairy tales, and this big Alice is adorable...

Alice... not new, but still cute

What's new at your Target?  Have you purchased or are you planning to purchase any new items?  What are your favorites?  I'm not much of an impulse shopper.  I usually have to think about it for a while before I buy.  My favorite new items that I'm thinking about are the OG owl lunch bag with thermos, the Pepper Parson doggie doll, and hmmm... maybe the mini Lalaloopsy Wizard of Oz dolls.  I'd love to hear your opinions!!!  Post a comment below and help me decide.

Blythe Mini Doll Collection Part 2

This Blythe Collection post was getting so long that it had to be broken into two parts.  Part 2 will include pictures and a mini description of each Blythe doll that I have so far.   Please see Blythe Mini Doll Collection Part 1 for more information on Blythe and how I started collecting her.  Each Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop set is given a set name and a number.  Each set comes with one doll plus pets and accessories.

Currently, I have a baker's dozen, and here they are...

Autumn Glam #B6

Autumn Glam is my favorite Blythe right now.  She has bright green eyes and bright red auburn hair with bangs and two adorable braids.  She is wearing a wrap style dress that is brown at the top and red with yellow sunflowers at the bottom. There is a red and tan flower sewed at center of her waist.  The dress closes in the back with Velcro.  She has a brown fleece hat with an orange ball on top.  Her brown boots have a soft, furry orange cuff.  The cardboard insert of her box was so cute that I use it as a backdrop of my Blythe display.  There is a 3-D tree with a little swing.

Field of Daisies #B5

Field of Daisies Blythe is another favorite with her aqua green eyes, long blond hair with soft curls and bangs, and the most adorable little crocheted aqua hat with yellow trim and a flower made of yarn.  She is wearing an orange print dress with aqua trim.  She has painted on white ankle socks.  Her little shoes are coral colored Mary Jane's with a yellow flower painted on the side.  They can be removed, but stay on her feet very well.

Desert Fun #B17

Desert Fun Blythe has blue eyes and light auburn curly hair with no bangs.  She is wearing a light pink top with dark pink lace trim and a denim print skirt with dark pink lace trim.  She has light pink and brown cowboy boots, a brown soft purse with fringe trim, and a pink hat.  The circles printed on her hat coordinate with the circles on her skirt.

Fabulously Vintage #B3

Fabulously Vintage Blythe has blue eyes and long blond curly hair with bangs.  She is wearing a pink and black dress with white lace and ribbon and pink net trims.  She has a pink jacket with a white furry collar and black Mary Jane shoes.  She is also wearing a black hat with pink polka dots and net trim.

Prettiest in Pearls #B14

Prettiest in Pearls has brown eyes and brown hair in beautiful ringlets and bangs.  She is wearing a light pink top and dark pink ruffle layered skirt with black trim and there is a tiny iridescent flower at her waist.  She has a black pearl necklace, a pink headband with a flower, and a pink and black purse.  She is wearing tiny black slip on ballerina slipper style shoes and she has ballerina ties painted around her ankles.  You have to be careful not to lose this type of shoe as they slip off very easily.

Hiking Trip #B18

Hiking Trip Blythe has hazel eyes and blond hair styled in bangs and two pigtails with pink bows.  She is wearing a t-shirt printed with clouds, flowers, and grass and pink Capri pants.  She has blue shoes and pink sunglasses.  The little metal swing is from Hobby Lobby.  I found it in the garden department.  It was called a garden fairy swing.  It was too small for most of my dolls, but works perfectly for Blythe.

Swim and Sun #B16

Swim and Sun Blythe has aqua eyes and brown hair with bangs.  She is wearing an aqua printed swim suit with a purple and pink ruffle at her waist.  She has a separate wrap around net cover up skirt.  She also has a cute floppy sun hat and purple and orange beach shoes.

Cold Weather Cute #B1

Cold Weather Cute Blythe has blue eyes and light auburn hair with no bangs.  She is wearing a soft red coat with tiny white buttons, a red and white snow hat, and a white scarf with pompoms.  She has painted on white tights with red polka dots.  She is also wearing tiny white ice skates with silver blades.

Sightseeing Cute #B13

Part of the box that I use for display.
3-D Phone booth

Sightseeing Cute Blythe has light blue eyes and blond hair with strawberry blond highlights and bangs that are longer on the sides to frame her face.  Her hair is styled in two short pigtails with red bows.  She is wearing a London flag style shirt and an aqua and red plaid pleated skirt.  She has black painted on leggings with a lace design just below the knee.  She has an adorable pair of Converse style aqua, red and white shoes.  She is also wearing a black faux leather jacket and a silver belt.  She has aqua colored headphones with an attached ipod and she carries a red purse with a white bow and silver handle.  I really enjoyed the insert portion of her box with it's 3-D red phone booth.  It makes such a cute backdrop for the doll display.

Buckles and Bows #B2

Buckles and Bows Blythe has hazel eyes and a cute blond bob hairstyle with a black headband with red flower.  She is wearing a black and white plaid dress with black belt and white flower buckle.  She has painted on white knee high socks and black slip on shoes.

Get Pretty Boutique #B33

Get Pretty Boutique Blythe has green eyes and strawberry blond hair styled in a side part. She comes wearing a ruffled drop waist black and white printed top with lime green accents, white Capri pants, and a black faux leather jacket. She has black and white slip-on shoes and a black ribbon bow in her hair. She comes with lots of extra clothing pieces all in black, white and lime green including a circle print dress, paw print pants and top, a ruffle top, leggings, sneakers, and a silver belt. I ordered this set from Amazon.  It will be great to have some extra clothes just in case I find a naked Blythe at a thrift store or garage sale.

Flowers 'n Fashion Black and White Collection #B32

Painted on tights and gloves

Flowers 'n Fashion Black and White Collection is a Target exclusive set.  Since Target only has the new plastic style Blythe dolls now, they must have sent their leftover older style Blythe sets to other stores, which is why there are so many Blythe sets  to be found in stores like Ross, Tuesday Morning, Big Lots etc.  I found this set at Ross for $7.99 just a couple weeks ago.  This Blythe has blue eyes and black curly hair in a fancy side part with no bangs.  She is wearing a black and white dress with a red belt.  She has white elbow length painted on gloves and red painted on tights.  She also has a black painted on necklace.  She comes with a red and white purse with a black rose, a red watering can, and a black vase with a red flower. There is a handle on the back of the vase and her purse so she can actually hold them.  She is wearing white boots that are molded to look like they lace up.

Stylin' Safari #B35

Bamboo-look rope bridge inside the box

Stylin' Safari Blythe was a Toys R Us exclusive set.  Toys R Us must have also sent the older style Blythe sets to other stores.  I found this set at Ross for $11.99.   This big TRU exclusive set came with one Blythe doll plus a lot of accessories including a canoe, a tree, three pets, a suitcase, a tiny video camera, and several other small pieces.  This set also came with an aqua colored stand, whereas all my other sets came with clear stands.  She actually looks really cute displayed in the canoe or the tree though.  Blythe has aqua eyes and brown straight hair styled in two pigtails.  She is wearing a safari style khaki shirt with purple ribbon belt and an aqua leopard print tiered skirt.  She has a khaki colored safari hat and purple boots.  Her box was set up so cute with a bamboo look rope bridge at the top holding some of her accessories.

Well, that's the baker's dozen that I've collected so far.  I would highly recommend the Blythe dolls from the 2010-2012 Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop sets.  Be on the lookout for them at closeout stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Tuesday Morning, Big Lots, etc. while they still have them at bargain prices.  Sadly, we probably won't see this style of Blythe at regular stores like Target or Wal-Mart anymore.

Questions, comments, suggestions, and discussions are welcome.  Which is your favorite Blythe?  Please leave a comment below.
